What is promotion and appointment?

Newly-hired, full-time regular employees working under the Faculty Association contract at SUNYBroome Community College enter an Appointment process, the goal of which is to earn Continuing Appointment.  In addition,  these faculty members may apply for a promotion or Professional Development Recognition Increment as stipulated by the contract.
